TESTIMONIALS
"During her time with us Lucy taught a selection of musical theatre songs to around 90 students per week. The students ranged in age from 8 to 21 years. During the classes Lucy worked extensively on vocal technique and harmony arrangements. The week culminated in a performance in the West End and Lucy’s work was exciting and extremely competent. The student’s responded brilliantly to Lucy and I highly recommend her to any teaching establishment." - Mark Puddle, Course Director, Westend Stage
"We were delighted when we approached Lucy to check her availability for a Les Miserables based workshop , and she was able to do it! What a talented lady, and her enthusiasm and love for not only this musical but for performing in general, shone through in abundance. She worked with our Junior and Senior students with ages ranging from 8-18 and managed to do some fantastic work with them all in such a short time. I would definitely recommend Lucy as a professional, reliable and very bubbly tutor." -Anita Winter, Principal, Tu Danse Studios
"We were privileged to welcome Lucy Garrioch to St Gregorys School this week. She worked specifically with year 12 and 13 drama students where she taught a range of interesting workshops. Pupils were fully engaged and enthused to hear about Lucy's own experiences ranging from gaining a place at a prestigious drama school, to performing in Les Miserables. The information and guidance Lucy gave about techniques and audition guidance was extremely useful. Lucy then went on to explore in detail the methodology of Brecht and Stanislavski and how pupils can use these techniques in a performance. The final workshop was the by far what the pupils had been most looking forward to. Using Lucy's knowledge and experience, they then performed the opening of Les Miserables and looked specifically at the creation of characters and how they develop, from leading roles to chorus members. Year 12 and 13 left the day’s workshop enthused and ignited with passion for both the course in school and the future. This was largely to do with Lucy’s warm and charismatic personality that was immediately likable for all students. We look forward to having Lucy back to our school!" -Lucy Kibby, Head Of Performing Arts, St Gregory's School Bath
"Lucy recently delivered a Les Miserables workshop for an open day at our school. Lucy delivers workshops with a great balance of fun, but also discipline. Her enthusiasm makes the workshops dynamic and energetic, but ensures the approach is professional. She is able to tailor her teaching to the group she has, depending on their standard and age. We were delighted with the feedback she received and will definitely be employing her again." -Emil Dale, Principal and founder of EDSA
'"Lucy is a wonderful teacher who came to us as a cover teacher at the end of a long term and was just fantastic with the students! It was an inspiring end to the term and her excellent teaching style inspired the children to work towards achieving their potential.
Lucy is a gifted pianist and was able to offer a musical director style class, something that is a rarity when teaching young people. I was very impressed by Lucy and will be looking at dates to have her back very soon!"- Cathie Carday, Principal and founder of BKD Performers
"I approached Lucy for vocal coaching before performing in the band at my brothers wedding, as my performance experience was limited. Lucy worked through the songs with me, identifying the smallest things that made a huge difference to my performance. Lucy had a very positive attitude and encouraged me to try things and not worry about being perfect first time. I love her attitude, and her love of singing is infectious. The session gave me more confidence, and above all else, we had fun!" -Charlie Parker, Private Student
"We were absolutely trilled to have Lucy at Stage West last weekend to take a Les Mis workshop. Our main school students were so excited & although only aged 6-11yrs were 100% engaged in the story & characterisation which comes down to Lucy's fantastic teaching style.
She has bounds of energy, enthusiasm, passion & clearly loves what she does! It was also brilliant for the students to work with someone so expertly knowledgable in voice technique. We look forward to having her back soon! "- Laura Bradley, Principal and Founder at Stage West
